Welcome to the North Glasgow College website for International students!

North Glasgow College offers a wide range of full-time vocational courses, Higher National Certificate and Higher National Diploma courses (equivalent to pre-university level), and new for August 2010, degree courses, which are popular with international students wishing to study in Scotland.

Rather than studying at university for 3 or 4 years in Scotland, you can make substantial savings on course fees by studying at North Glasgow College:

  • where class sizes are smaller
  • classes are taught by staff with a passion for teaching
  • you will get individual guidance and support throughout your studies
  • free academic English and computing classes to help you along your studies
  • free internet access in our Learning Resource Centre
  • higher education scholarships on completion of our degree courses.

On successful completion of our two year Higher National Diploma programme, international students can articulate direct into 3rd year at many Scottish universities thereby only incurring university fees for 1 year or 2 years for a Honours degree instead of 4 full years.

The Scottish Qualifications Authority is the awarding body for our vocational and HNC/HND courses.

 

Course Duration and Costs (Session 2010/2011)

The main course intake is August each year however, there is also a limited intake in January, so you must allow plenty of time to plan and make your application. Please note that all students must have a valid study visa in order to commence their course at North Glasgow College.

* 1 year full-time study on  Access to Nursing Degree Programme for International Students at North Glasgow College and on successful completion of the course, students are guaranteed a place on the Bachelor of Nursing degree course at Glasgow Caledonian University – 3 years duration. North Glasgow College International students on successful completion of their Access to Nursing Degree course will be eligible for a Higher Education Scholarship of £1000 towards their course fees at Glasgow Caledonian University.
