DESCRIPTION: The learner attends on a 1 week in 4 week block release programme consisting of 12 weeks in total supplemented with necessary on site training. (Routes 1 & 2 are similar).

ROUTE 1

Apprenticeship (Undertaken in conjunction with college based training): This is the more familiar route from school leaver to tradesperson. The learner attends college for a total period of 20 weeks, normally this consists of 10 blocks of 2 weeks attendance throughout a year’s duration supplemented with similar periods of “on site training”.
