Development - School Link Course

Description: The Development School - Link Course gives the learners the opportunity to experience the learning environment of North Glasgow College. Learners will be supported by Pupil Support Assistants from their school. Learners will have the opportunity to become familiar with the building, get to know staff and experience a range of subjects taught within the section. Throughout the Course learners’ needs will be assessed in order that the transition to college will be appropriate and successful. Each learner will have an Individual Learning Plan. North Glasgow College actively encourages links with parents and carers through workshops and open information sessions.

Step up Course

Description: This one year Step Up Course is designed for young people who have completed their Foundation Course. You will study a variety of subjects including core skills and practical options. The aim is to develop additional skills and confidence in preparation for vocational training, employment or other courses.

All students are assigned a Guidance tutor and receive a high level of guidance and support throughout their course. The course aims to prepare you for vocational employment or supports you to progress to other courses. Each student will have an Individual Learning Plan.
