This is a part time course two evenings per week Tuesday and Thursday 6-9pm, running over an 18 month period. The course combines theory and a substantial element of practice placement. Content: Social Care Theory | Social Policy | Sociology | Psychology | Protecting Individuals | Understanding and Supporting Behaviour | Loss and Grief | Graded Unit.SVQ Level 3 Units: Communication/ Reflect and Develop your Practice/ Health and Safety Entry Requirements: Candidates should be working in the Care Sector or have some work experience in the field of social care. Communication skills at SCQF levels 5/6 (Intermediate 2/Higher). Please note that all successful candidates will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check.
