HNC/D Accounting - Waiting List OnlyDescription: This stimulating two year, full time course which may be studied part time by negotiation, enables the learner to develop an understanding of and competence in accounting concepts and practices. It incorporates traditional accounting skills with information technology and computer training. Content: Financial Accounting | Management | Accounting | Cost Accounting | Financial Accounting Software | Income Tax | Information Technology | Business Taxation.Other subjects may include: Law for Business | Economics | Statistics | Mathematics | Marketing | I.T.| Payroll. Entry Requirements: At least 1 Higher Grade pass with 3 other passes at Standard Grade or equivalent. Successful completion of a National Qualification course including Communication and appropriate accounting units. Applications from mature learners with appropriate experience will be welcomed. Entry by interview. Qualifications & Progression: Successful completion of the course will allow learners to apply for positions in accounting firms or within the wider area of business and commerce. After completion learners may gain admission to 2nd or 3rd year of a relevant university degree course. In order to achieve the HNC/D Qualification the candidate is required to pass graded unit assessments.
