Plumbing Appreciation This course gives individuals an introduction to plumbingand covers the following topics: - Introduction to Domestic Cold Water Systems
- Introduction to Domestic Hot Water Systems
- Introduction to Appliance Installation (Installation Practices I)
- Outline storage and non-storage of hot and cold water supply pipework
- Selection of pipework and materials, fittings and control valves for given situations
- Outline the installation of water storage cisterns
- Outline means of preventing frost damage to water installations
- Outline factors which affect gravity circulation
- Undertake basic jointing techniques and applications required, using appropriate tools and equipment to join various types of pipes and fittings used in domestic water supplies
