Benefits of being a student
• FREE English language support offered on a weekly basis
• Free wi-fi internet access
• Free membership of the Learner Resource Centre - you can borrow course books/fiction, read newspapers/magazines, borrow DVDs, CDs, photocopy, use a computer and access black/white and colour copying, or simply use a table for study – see your welcome pack for full details.
• Free use of computers situated throughout the college:
o In the Hub on the ground floor
o In the Point Restaurant on the Ground Floor
o On the walkway of each floor (2nd – 4th floor)
o Outside the Learner Resource Centre on the 1st floor.
• Chill out in the Hub on the Ground Floor which contains a shop when you feel ready for a bite to eat/refreshment, need some stationery, newspapers, etc, watch SKY television or use a computer.
• Visit our Starbucks Coffee Shop on the Ground Floor
• Visit the Point Restaurant offering a wide variety of hot and cold food and refreshments each day Monday to Friday.
• Join the Learner Association and meet our Learner Engagement Officer based at
Learner Services on the first floor who will give you details:
- on social events
- how to get a National Union of Students (NUS) card in order to access student
discounts in shops, clubs, etc.
• Free gym facilities on the ground floor - all students must book in for an induction session in order to use this facility – see your welcome pack for further details.
• Visit our Beauty Salon on the 2nd floor and access beauty treatments at discounted
