ed as the winner of the Scottish Renewables Competition to create the Saltire Prize Medal which befits Scotland’s ambitions in leading the world in the development of power generation from our seas and oceans.

Hanyao Fu was presented with her £1,000 prize money and certificate by the First Minister for Scotland, Alex Salmond at the Scottish Renewables Annual Conference Dinner in Glasgow on 23 March 2011. 
Professor Stephen Salter MBE, a world-leading pioneer of wave power technologies was then awarded the inaugural Saltire Prize Medal in recognition of his key role in the development of marine energy and is pictured with Hanyao Fu and First Minister, Alex Salmond.
