Colleges have long played an important part in delivering the continuing professional development needs of a range of staff from the shop floor to the boardroom. They not only train people to be ready for the world of work, they develop and run courses meeting the needs of industry. At the end of the day training is our business.
The new college building provides us with a huge opportunity to dedicate new resources in terms of the latest equipment, workshops and teaching facilities to meet the growing needs of our business clients.
We have an increased range of courses available to meet the demands of new legislation and technological developments. We also have new teaching, seminar, conference and lecture theatre facilities available for hire. These are all used to deliver what the client requires, not just pre-defined SQA or City and Guilds units. The College works with employers to put a training plan in place to ensure their staff have the training and development they need when they need it in a structured way, not trying to rush them through as deadlines loom.
