Australian Assessment Training


North Glasgow College are a validated VETASSESS centre and have recently completed an exclusive Partnership to deliver Pre-Assessment Training and GAP Training courses in the UK, Ireland & across Europe. The Pre-Assessment Training and GAP Training courses have been designed and developed by North Glasgow
College in collaboration with Australia’s Victoria University and Education & Training International to prepare and refresh candidates for the VETASSESS assessment.

North Glasgow College represent the Australian Parties in Europe and have contacts with the Australian Embassy, Immigration Agents, Australian Universities and College’s as well as Australian employers.

Care and Moving and Handling Introduction

We have been delivering courses to clients in the care sector for many years. We are experts in the field of Client Moving and Handling and have an excellent team all of whom have a nursing / physio background with relevant qualifications and experience. We are very flexible and geared up to deliver practical courses in-house and on the client’s premises with a range of equipment.

We have a range of courses to support the Continuing Professional Development needs of the Care sector and these can be tailored to the individual organisations needs.

All participants receive a record of training and a certificate of attendance.

IOSH – Working and Managing Safely

The College offers these IOSH courses which are aimed at ensuring staff at all levels have an awareness of the health and safety issues which affect them and those they work with.

Working Safely

Is a 1 day course for all staff to ensure safe practices are followed.

Managing Safely is aimed at those with supervisory and managerial responsibilities to ensure the safety of staff and the working environment.

REHIS – Food Hygiene

An introductory course aimed at catering staff and food handlers. The course is suitable for anyone involved in food retail, food service and food preparation. Successful students will gain an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.

Many of the courses offered by the Commercial Business Unit have ILA accreditation.

Construction and Engineering courses

North Glasgow College delivers courses which are aimed at maintaining and developing the skills levels of staff across a wide range of industry sectors. Whether the need is driven by legislative changes or a need to keep your business at the leading edge we have courses which will help.

In the past we have developed a range of training courses which focus on the real needs of business across construction, electrical, plumbing, maintenance and refrigeration sectors. We will be happy to sit down with you and develop a plan which best suits your needs and the needs of staff and can deliver at the time and place you require.
