All of the construction trade's practical work is carried out in our ‘built for purpose’ work block.  Everything is contained within a centralised area to ensure that students have everything they need within the one location. This is supported by superb technical staff and provides employers with a well-designed and functional base to send their employees.

Engineering a successful future!

The Faculty of Engineering Technologies attracts learners from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, thus achieving a healthy balance between young and mature learners. Full-time courses in Automobile Engineering and Mechanical/Production Engineering, are provided leading either to employment or higher education.

Our Access Courses give a guaranteed route into either an HNC/D Course or a Degree Course at University after successfully completing just one year of study.

A full range of Industrial Day Release/Block Release and specialist courses are also provided in Construction Plant Mechanics and Building Services including Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Heating and Ventilation and Welding. These are tailored to meet the needs of industry and those in employment. SQA Standard/Higher Grade equivalents in Science and Maths are available on a part time basis.
